Sensitivity Reader

Sensitivity readers offer a way to speak from an experience that is not your own and know that you have done what you can to amplify, not further oppress, the voices of the marginalized. I highlight stereotypes, inaccuracies, and insulting language– and then offer suggestions on how to shift from there. I work with manuscripts that address incarceration particularly.
